Personality:
India is extremely random. One moment she could just be sitting there, off in her own world, then she'll turn to you and start talking about some random thing that popped into her head, or she'd just stare at you and say a word that's either made up or useless to the conversation. She doesn't like to sit still very long; she loves having something to do and loves being on the go. She loves to play sports, but hates watching them. India finds sports very, very dull to watch, but a thrill to play. She enjoys music; she was a born performer, just like her father (but she can't sing worth shit; she can play the drums and bass rather well though). She's a very picky about what she eats; if she doesn't like even the appearance of something she won't even try it. India is defensive; she hates it when people make fun of her or her friends. She tends to be non-violent, but there's been cases where she's beaten people up before. She likes to voice her opinions but in mild ways. If someone doesn't see something her way, she'll try to convince them, but if they're too stubborn about it she usually gives up. She knows her opinions and beliefs and sticks to them, but she doesn't like campaigning about them. She has a smart mouth, which is something that often times lands her in nothing but trouble. She has a high tolerance level too; it takes a lot to get this chick mad. She's never usually quiet either; there has to be noise coming from either her or something around her in order for her to be happy (one reason why she's such a chatter box all the time). She's naive; she'll believe practically anything, which causes her to get laughed at quite often. India is also intelligent, but school never interested her much. Still, she goes just because she knows it's the right thing to do.
History:
India's life has been far from hard. She was born to Christine and William after two years of marriage, and the couple couldn't have been happier, though William had his doubts at how good a fathrer he could be, at first. He took a leave from his band for awhile, helping Christine around the house and helping her raise India; typical fatherly stuff ah? After awhile, he went back to touring with The Academy Is..., leaving Christine in Chicago alone with India. William made frequent trips home, and India grew up in a pretty normal atmosphere. Sure, her life had ups and downs, but nothing special to write home about really.
When India was a little older, Christine found out she was pregnant, again. William decided to name the child after a good friend of his - Travis McCoy - and thus the child was dubbed Travis Beckett. William wasn't around as much for Travis as he was for India, but Christine didn't mind all that much; she understood that William needed to be with his band (but that didn't stop her from nagging at him a lot). India spent most of her teen years helping Christine with Travis, but usually India was pretty irresponsible. When she first got her license, she had snuck into a club and had gotten horribly drunk. Thankfully, while attempting to drive home, the police pulled her over and contacted her parents before she could do something stupid - like wreck. But, despite the fact she was grounded for like, a bajillion years, it didn't quite stop her from drinking. Like father like daughter, no?
Roleplay Sample:
