Felix nodded his head to the beat, sat on a bus on a day like this. This wasn't something Felix had planned doing, after all bus rides were diabolical- as were coach rides. Shaking his head slightly as he thought over this he smiled to himself, his hands tapping on his legs to the beat of the song that was playing. 'That boy, That girl'. Felix hadn't heard about the car crash yet, it hadn't been spread around at his end that fast. Felix ran a hand through his dark brown hair, before letting his hands slip back into his white hoodie pockets as he looked out of the window. People were passing past him at an speed which made it hard to make out any of their features although he didn't mind that much, that was what life was like though wasn't it? You could be looking out of the window and know none of them, but in a few years they could become your wife.. husband, enemies absolutely anything and strictly speaking their wasn't anything you could do to stop it.
Pressing the small red button, which blatantly stated "press me" Felix stood up, grabbing onto the pole and letting one of the earphones fall from his ear as he stepped down the steps on the bus and with a small nod at the bus driver Felix got off, looking down the street just as the song changed to 'Karma Chameleon' grinning to himself he couldn't stop himself humming along to the tune and occasionally mouthing some of the words in the verses as he walked. Felix looked down the road and noticed the flower shop, perfect. Felix needed to make up so some girl.. what was her name? Katherine? Jessica? whatever it was Felix had unfortunately 'missed' their date and he decided this would make it a bit better. Of course he didn't really have an attachments with the girl, she was just one face in the crowd that he wasn't quite finished with yet.
Felix pushed open the door of the shop, the little bell above the door making noises so everyone could hear someone had just stepped inside the shop whistling to himself. Still with the earphone in his ear and still humming along to the song. Felix walked straight toward the desk, the elderly women at the desk smiled at him and he took the earphone out of his ear. "Hello, I was just wondering whether you could tell me.. er, well, what sort of flowers would strike the fancy of a girl?" Felix asked, grinning at the woman, who in return laughed and replied. "A rose is often a common choice," . Felix nodded, "Oh right, thanks." Felix said, turning around now and just then he noticed Deryck. Raising an eyebrow he walked over to the boy, slipping an arm around his shoulder. "Alright?" Felix asked, with a smile before actually noticing his face and how his eyes seemed all red and almost bloodshot. Removing the arm from around Deryck's shoulder he walked in front of him now. "What's up, Der?" Felix asked concerned.

Deryck stuttered as he looked up at his friend who was now in front of him. Deryck was shaking now, he was palled and tired making his puffy eyes looking all that worse. "He was in a car crash with dad...dads alright hes got a few broken bones and a head indjury...but Jareds..." He trailed off, his voice breaking as another tear rolled down his cheek. It had shocked just about everyone the state he was in, Deryck wasn't an emotional guy, he just smiled and got on with shit even if he was upset. "He's in ICU...they don't know...if...if he's going to be alright..."[/blockquote][/ul]

Felix looked toward the direction Deryck was looking in and he noticed him staring at a rose. Result. Quickly leaving Deryck alone for a minute so as he could get the rose, he smirked slightly. "Sorry mate, girl troubles." Felix began, attempting to look as sorry as he could do. Felix wasn't quite sure why Deryck was looking so upset as he was and in a way it hurt him even if he wasn't showing it exactly, he was quite close to Deryck so obviously he was going to try and be sympathetic with whatever had happened. "So what is it then, more girl troubles? You Wentz's really shouldn't have many troubles in that field.." Felix began, sounding slightly cheery if so ever distracted as he glanced around the shop again and then back at Deryck. "Or did you just get beaten up?" Felix joked, "I swear, with a face like that the beauty police will be coming! I joke," Felix said, attempting to calm down a little. As soon as Deryck opened his mouth that instantly made Felix almost freeze.
"Ill, people get ill all the time- Deryck," Felix told him and then frowned considerably as he continued. "Oh.. wow Deryck," Felix said, biting his lip as Deryck continued. "With a head as big as his I'm sure he'll of been fine," Felix attempted to comfort Deryck but maybe he wasn't going the best way about it. "Deryck, look. The best thing you could do right now is just go home for a bit. By the looks of things you look like you've had a few rough nights, go shower.." Felix continued, "It won't make it better by worrying yourself as much, when you've got some sleep you'll be able to think better." Felix told him, nodding as if sort of convincing himself that was exactly what Deryck should do.
Felix had never really been in a situation like this though, so he wasn't sure what to do. Felix was scared he had already said the wrong thing and Deryck would bite his head off for it in a minute, which at the same time as well as worrying, he was bracing himself for. Sure, Jared and Felix weren't the closest of friends, they argued, agreed everything normal teenagers did- but on the other hand, just because they bickered at times didn't mean Felix was going to shrug it off and act as if it wasn't a big deal. That'd be a bit inhumane and a bit fucked up, no matter how much it seemed it Felix wasn't, he was bothered.

They may not have been related by family, half of his 'uncles' weren't blood related but he still called them that out of sheer habit and they were like family. "I can't go home. I need to be there with him." He commented tiredly as he yawned. He hadn't really slept since the accident. He hadn't eaten or drank anything he had been in a permanent state of zombie like life since he drove past the smashed up car on the freeway and recognized it as his fathers. Watching them shock his brothers body to try and bring his heart back to life again, like some sequence out a movie only it had been real. That was the horrid thought. Closing his eyes he took a deep breath and looked at Felix. "The crash was head on, they were on the wrong side of the freeway..." Deryck stuttered, at speeds like it made him wonder if Jared had any chance at all. No that was not the way to be thinking. [/blockquote][/ul]

Felix walked toward the counter now, suddenly nodding at the woman again and paying for his rose which he got wrapped up and such. When she was done and he had paid her Felix walked straight back over to Deryck and listened to him talking. Felix was trying to listen to Deryck, but he was getting way distracted by what a state Deryck was in. Felix respected him for being able to be out and about when something like that had happened, if it had of been Felix him, himself would've locked himself in a room so as he didn't have to talk to anyone or explain himself to anyone. Maybe Deryck's idea was the best choice in situations like this though, although until he came to it he would have to just come to the conclusion to talk about what he knew. "Yeah, sure." Felix said, slipping one hand back into his pockets as he looked over at the cards again. "What are you gonna get?" Felix asked, smiling sadly before looking back at Deryck again.
Felix could remember when one of his friends had gotten him a card made especially for his birthday. They had "Hollaback boy" on it and it had considerably made Felix smile. Felix had got random people reciting it to him and in a way it was slightly creepy. "I think you've been there for Jared long enough, haven't you Deryck?" Felix said firmly, whilst raising his eyebrow. "You're not going to be helping much sitting their, are you?" Felix asked him, trying not to be harsh at all. Although if he was in Deryck's position he would've probably have been reacting the same way. "Come on Der, when you've showered, slept and eaten then think about going back. You're going to make yourself ill like this, you're making yourself look worse. You're really pale," Felix noted.
"It was a mistake, Der, it's not your fault- I'm sure they'll get through this, I'm sure of it." Felix concluded with a small frown. "I'll come back with you if you want. You look terrible." Felix told him finally. "Do us all a favor and sleep," Felix tried to joke although he wasn't quite able to laugh, only force himself to give Deryck a small smile.

Deryck shook his head and felt like he was going to collapse. God he needed coffee somehow even though he didn't think he could drink it. "I can't go back to the house..." He couldn't bare walking though the door and looking down the hall way to his fathers office or walking up the stairs and going past his brothers old room. There were so many memories of them in that house, play fighting on the living room floor and getting in to trouble for playing football inside. "I'm ok. I'm ok." He said quietly trying to convince the both of them. In fact he was far from ok, he hadn't been ok since they drove past on the freeway and saw the car. He didn't think he would ever be ok again. He didn't smile back, he just shook his head again. "He'd be there for me if I was there, I have to do the same for him, he's always been the one there when I'm too fucked to look after myself and I screw everything up. So I have to be there, it's what brothers do."[/blockquote][/ul]
