She snapped at him. Deryck just opened the door and slammed it shut with more force. "Yes." He stated simply. Deryck really had little respect for his parents. He couldn't stand either of them most of the time. He hated the way his father was proud of him one moment and upset the next, hated the way his mother and father were constantly bickering in the kitchen when they didn't think he was listing. Though usually it was about him. Ignoring the instructions to stay with her he left and walked off. He didn't want to be with her at the moment and he knew there was no way she could make him go. So that was that argument over already. Passing Starbucks he opened the door to the crowded store and joined the queue. It took a while but he finally got his drink a good old cappuccino and looked around. He might just sit in here for a while and avoid people, that was his plan until he noticed Tabitha. He checked himself over for a moment and smiled, truthfully he had a thing for her but he wasn't sure what it was. Usually he just got it on and left, he was a heart breaker and bad news for most girls, but this one. Well he knew he shouldn't like her, she was his fathers best friends kid...that usually meant she was out of bounds but he couldn't tell himself that. He picked up a couple of packs of sugar and checked himself over again, his hair as fine and the bright orange, lime green and yellow hoodie was fine, and his shoes looked good. Putting on a smile he walked over to her not quite understanding why he was nervious... Sitting down he flashed her that cheeky smile; "Yo." Said simply still smiling and starting to think he looked like a right plonker. His brain started screaming at him to say something, anything at all that didn't sound stupid. "How are you?"Oh thats the best you can come up with Derry? [/blockquote][/ul]

Tabby mocked, smiling at him and sipping the coffee. She glanced up at him for a second and smiled as she put the coffee back down onto the table and reached out, picking up Derry's sugar. Tabby's brain instantly sprang into subconciously flirting, and she gave him a smile again before she looked down at the sugar packet in her hand. She pursed her lips slightly and ripped the little packet of sugar open, tipping it into the cup. Some of the sugar fell down onto the saucer and she licked her finger, ran it over the saucer to pick up the stray sugar crystals and then licked her finger again - and yet she done all of this without really registering it. Tabby looked back up at Deryck, feeling the familiar butterfly feeling inside of her stomach as she gave him a smile. "I'm not too bad, thank you," Tabby said with a smile. She sipped her coffee again and put it down onto the saucer again, looking up at Derry as she did so. "How about you, Mister-I'm-Still-Suffering-From-Last-Week's-Hangover," Tabby joked. She hugged her handbag to her chest slightly as she licked her lips of the coffee. Deryck was the only person who could make her go wild like ths - and she'd known him for almost seventeen years. Derry was a player though, and Tabby knew he liked his groupies. Tabby would have loved to given him an angry talking to about that, but of course she would probably risk losing Derry's friendship over it all so she kept her mouth shut.[/blockquote][/ul]

He said laughing to himself as he ripped open a pack of sugar sending more of it down his hoodie than in to his coffee. He frowned and tried to brush it off but found the granulated sticky stuff sticking to it. "Aw bloody hell." He muttered looking at the garment with deep disappointment. "Aw man this was new as well..." He wined - anyone who know him remotely knew he loved three things in his life, his music, his shoes and his hoodies. Deryck spent a few minutes lamenting over his hoodie before turning back to the sugar. There was something in the way she looked at him that made him nervous, Deryck was not the sort of persons who got nervous around girls, in fact quite the opposite. He was confident and charming. he could walk in to a room and get everyone to look and pay attention to him. He was a natural born stage musician. So what was it about this girl that made all that melt away? He wasn't too sure, he wasn't sure what it was he felt for her. they had been friends since they were born and she was was daughter of his fathers best friends. Surly that meant she was untouchable. She was out of bounds. A no no. Simple right? Well no. Because Deryck, well he was confused, he wasn't sure if it was a crush, lust or something totally different. Fucking girls made everything so complicated. He smirked dumping three packets of sugar in to the coffee before he decided that it was to his taste. "Oh yeah he's just fine." He said with a cheeky smile and a wink. "He would be in bed still but he knew you were here."He kicked himself mentally - all his good shit must be left under his pillow. Next time you open your mouth and try to be witty think a little harder Deryck. [/blockquote][/ul]

Tabby asked Deryck, an eyebrow raised as she took another sip of coffee. "Because that would be super," Tabby said, licking her lips again and putting the cup down onto the table. She couldn't help thinking about what ther fathers would think if they knew any of this would going on. Joe probably wouldn't have been too concerned if it wasn't for the fact he thought Pete's child was an utter lunatic. Tabby looked down at the table, almost ashamed - ashamed of what her father thought and ashamed that she'd been flirting with Deryck without really noticing it. Tabby didn't really want to started any shit up between her dad and Pete, because the pair of them had been friends for ages. There was the odd time where Tabby would feel resentment toward 'Uncle Pete'. Fall Out Boy was her daddy's band, not his. Fall out Boy belonged to Joe, and so many people didn't seem to recognize that. Joe had asked Pete to start the band with him, so it was Joe's band, no matter what anyone else thought. Pete often seemed to act like that wasn't the case, although Tabby knew sometimes it was hardly his own fault. "Aren't you supposed to be at school, you bad, naughty, wicked boy," Tabby teased, winking at Derry and then mentally slapping herself again. 'Stop it,' she said to herself. 'Stop it and start acting properly. This is your father's best friend's child, stop acting like this. Stop it. Shut up and stop it... and stop talking to yourself and get up and get a muffin...' Tabby thought to herself before she looked around at Derry again. "How's the band?" she asked quickly, so quickly that she managed to end up spilling coffee down her front.[/blockquote][/ul]

He said smirking and giving Tabby a wink. "Because your just that great." Oh she was, he wasn't being sarcastic even if he was trying to make it look that way. Deryck wanted to smack himself in the face, then do it again with a baseball bat, then run a ice cold bath and drown himself in it, then hit himself again - you get the picture - to stop himself from feeling like this, because nothing could ever happen to them. Nothing would ever happen. This was Joe's kid, his father and Joe would kill him and angry Joe would not be a good thing at this moment in time - Pete was pissed off enough with him as well, he would blow his top when he went home for dinner after the stunt he had just pulled with his mother. "Schools for morons. I've not been in months, I think moms given up trying to make me go." He told her taking another drink of his coffee. He jumped when she spit her down and grabbed a napkin without thinking and reached across the table to help clean up. His hand brushed hers and he jumped slightly realizing how close they were and pulled back. "Here, you can have my coffee and my hoodie if you want."Oh nicely done Wentz now she's going to know there is something up with you giving your hoodie away like that. [/blockquote][/ul]

she joked. Tabby and Derry had been friends for ages, literally since the moment they were born. Their fathers were close - they'd known each other for so many years now. It was inevitable the pair of them were going to grow up together. Tabby had very vivid - and embarassing - memories of them when they were a lot younger, three or four maybe. They would go to the beach together with their families, generally because their father's were touring quite close and they were spending the day out with their families. Tabby remembered the times when she would run around naked infront of Derry. That was years and years ago now, but the thought of it all made her blush... She'd probably seen Derry naked before but things were different now... they were grown up now. It seemed a lot like someone had just flicked a switch inside Tabby's head and that light had come on. The tell-all light that had made Tabby put everything into perspective. Tabby had seen other boys, of course, she'd dated a fair few people, but it wasn't anything like what she felt for Derry. The very fact he'd spent all this time being her friend made her realize that all the other boys just weren't worth it at all. Derry had spent seventeen years putting up with her rambling and her shit - those boys couldn't even stand one minute of listening to Tabby's thoughts and ideas, Derry was probably included but at least he pretended to care. Tabby's heart fluttered and done a little leap when their hands touched... even the tiniest amount of physical contact made her spring to life... That was probably what would get a reaction out of her the most. The very tiny, very subtle things from Derry... like the feeling of their hands touching. Tabby looked up from her daydream, and then at Derry when he offered her his coffee and his hoodie. She frowned, but smiled quickly after. "No, that's quite alright... your hoodie is lovely, keep it," Tabby said. Derry lived in hoodies, she couldn't imagine stealing one away from him like that... and yet the offer was so tempting. She glanced at the table and then up at him again, smiling still. [/blockquote][/ul]
