There were a few people walking around the streets. But most were in cars. If there was anyone around at all that is. Helena was walking. The sun was shining brightly in the mid-morning. So Helena didn’t see the need to be driving. Not when you could get fresh air and exercise by walking. Besides, there was a slight breeze and it wasn’t too hot. Nor too cold. The perfect time to take a walk. Well, to Helena at least. And it was plus that she enjoyed walking, she could be herself more that way. She wasn’t restrained by the car.
Helena’s hair was blowing back slightly in the wind. It was down, going past her shoulder. Right now it was black with orange streaks in it. But you never know how long that will last. She strolled down the streets, wearing sparkly ripped jeans, flip flops, a sliver chain on her pants, and a black t-shirt that read ‘SHORT PEOPLE RULE!’ in red letters. She wasn’t carrying anything. Which was slightly unusual. The one good thing though with not that many people on the streets, was that Helena could see where she was going. When it was crowed there were to many people, and since most people were taller then her, she never could see over them.
So far she hadn’t passed that many people. But still, every single person she passed had gotten a hug from her. Most of them had scurried away as soon as she let go. A look of horror on their faces. Ever time that happened, Helena just laughed. Her blue eyes glistening. She loved freaking people out. It was fun. That was one reason she did it so much. To see people’s reactions. They got more hilarious each time. Even though, sometimes she wished people wouldn’t run away. She was just being friendly anyway. It was nice when the people actually hugged back, or smiled, or even just said ‘hi’.
Right now, someone had just run away from her. Helena’s head leaned back as she howled in laughter. After a few moments her laughing ceased. A slight sigh escaping her lips. Another person hugged, another person running away in fear. Her eyes glanced around, taking in all her surroundings. Looking for something new to do. Noticing nothing but more streets for a while, and with no intention of going back home. She started skipping. Just skipping down the street, a smile stretching from ear to ear. All her sparkles in her clothing shimmering in the sunlight.

Helena was no longer looking at where she was going. Her eyes closed, letting her feet take the lead. Bringing her wherever they wanted to go. Her brain was no longer in control -well, that’s not much of a change, it normally isn’t doing much- her feet were in control. Skipping in any direction they wanted to. Even though, knowing Helena, this wasn’t a very smart thing to do. But whoever said she was smart?
All too soon one of her feet stumbled on a rock. In a flash she was on the ground, face first, her eyes suddenly wide open. Helena let herself just lay there for a few seconds, before slowly pushing herself up. Rubbing her head, she stood up. A slight sight escaped her lips, before a smile crept back on. It was only then did she notice that someone was in front of her, if she would have been a few more feet up she would have fallen on top of him.
”Hi!” she exclaimed, her smile growing, going up to him and pulling him into a tight hug. It was only for a few seconds, then she pulled away. She did that a lot. Okay, to almost everyone. It was just the way she did things. That was just her. Even though most people didn’t like it. ”You look upset. What’s wrong?” she asked, sounding like she really cared. But she always did, she liked helping people. [/blockquote]

[/b] He said brightly with a smile. "Just away in a another world." He cocked his head to the side slightly looking at her with that cheeky smile. She wasn't that bad looking, familiar but good looking. He wasn't sure what to do, he couldn't come out and go 'excuse me but I think I know you but I'm not too sure.' Ah screw it, it was starting to bug the shit out him. "I know this sounds really rude, but I think I know you and I can't remember you name." Of course that smile was still there - maybe it might help. [/blockquote][/ul][/size]

Helena’s smile grew. ”I’m almost always away, normally lost somewhere in my mind.” she shrugged, her way of saying it’s cool and it happens to everyone. she was just glad he didn’t run away when she hugged him, as most people did. It made her day slightly brighter. She thought she knew him from somewhere, she just couldn’t remember. Of course, she also didn’t have the best memory in the world. At all.
”Helena.” she told, brushing her bangs out of her eyes. But it only lasted for so long, of course, they fell right back into her eyes. ”I hug everyone I see. Just normally people run away from me. It’s quit funny actually, some kids even scream and start yelling ‘VAMPIRE!’.” she laughed. Helena didn’t mind it when people did it, she was just getting a little fed up with it. Some people thought her dad was a vampire, so some thought she was too. How stupid is that? That’s what Helena always thinks.
Helena couldn’t remember his name either, but she was usually straightforward, she liked to get to the point. ”Sorry, I think I’ve seen you before. Just can’t remember your name either.” she shrugged. [/blockquote]

[/b] He looked her up and down and almost smirked. "I'd let you bit my neck any day." Already he was flirting - for god sake Deryck can you look at a girl and not flirt? "Helena - thats a really nice name, roll off your tong. I'm Deryck. Deryck Wentz." HE said holding his hand out for her to shake, tiling his head slightly to the side to look at her and a wink sealed the deal. "Fancy a bit to eat? I'm starving."((ooc; so incredibly shite I'm sorry.)) [/blockquote][/ul][/size]

Helena smiled. ”Why thank you. You’re not to bad for a human yourself.” she told him, her smile turning into a slight smirk as she spoke. If he was going to flirt, then she was to. Even if she wasn’t that good at it- at least in her mind. ”You might let me bite you, but if my brother or uncles saw they would beat you to a pulp.” she laughed, still smirking. It was true -they didn’t like the idea of Helena dating. They were a little extremely over-protective.
Ah. Now she knew why he looked familiar. Deryck Wentz. That name she had heard before, and seen a few times in passing. But that was it. ”Thanks. The full name is Helena Indigo Way. But I only hear that when my parents are mad at me.” she added, if he told her his first and last name, she figured she would do the same. ”Deryck’s a good name too.” she told him, shaking hid hand.
”Sure. I’m getting a little hungry myself.” [/blockquote]

[/b] He joked smiling, he gave her a wink and smiled. "Let them come and beat me up then." He said laughing and holding his arm out for her. He have her a bow and a smile - he was a gentleman after all or either that he was just being plain charming. "Well madam Helena shall we go find somewhere to eat?" He asked her. Sad thing was you wouldn't think he was sixteen, he looked a bit older than that too and he probably knew more about women than most twenty year olds. He could chat nineteen year old women in to bed without a hitch. Saying that he was a well known man whore but he could be nice to a girl every down and then, it wasn't like everything was about sex, he was having a bad day and everyone else was in a shitty mood. He was just trying to brighten someone else's day. That was a nice thing to do wasn't it. Plus he knew her father or should we say his father knew her father and therefore she was out of bounds. He touched her and he would be dead, there were just some people you don't do that sort of stuff too. "WE can have, Italian, Japanese, Chinese and theres some good Thai places in town as well - my treat." After all he didn't like the idea of taking a girl to somewhere like Subway or McDonald's - that was just a bit rude. [/blockquote][/ul][/size]

Helena let a small laugh escape her lips, her eye rolling slightly. ”Well, I’m sorry to offend someone as charming as you.” she joked back, smirking. Helena tried not to laugh when he bowed, instead letting her lips curl into a slight smile. ”So you think you could take on 6 men? They scared away the last boy they saw around me.” she asked him in disbelief, she was adding her brother to that number also. ”Well, master Deryck we shall.” she replied, smiling.
Truth was, Helena never had been good at telling if boys were flirting or not. But part of that was because the only boys she was around was her family, and they made sure that no other boys got close to her. Which annoyed Helena after a while. One reason why she was not going to tell them about seeing Deryck, or she might not be allowed out of the house till she turned 18. Which, for some reason, didn’t appeal to Helena at all. Nope, she liked going outside. Anyways, she’s already pale enough as it is, and that’s with going outside in the sunlight. Just thinking about how pale she would be without any sunlight frightened her, she already looked dead half the time.
She thought about the places he offered. ”I will have to say Italian, and just be lucky I’m broke, otherwise there would be no way I would let you pay.” she told him, she was a bit stubborn when it came to paying. She hated having others pay for her, she liked being able to pay for herself. [/blockquote]

[/b] Ha! Most brother / fathers / cousins wouldn't let Deryck ten foot near their female relatives everyone knew he was a womanizer it was no secret. Saying that not many people thought much of it - after all he was a Wentz, his big brother was pretty popular with the girls and his father...well everyone knows that story. He looked down the street and smiled at the quaint Italian Cafe that sat on the corner, he had been here before with his mother and quite liked it, Deryck liked eating out just because it had always been what had happened, there were very rare occasions where they all had eaten in round the table in the dining room. usually it was a quite something on the way home from the studio late at night then in to bed and school the next morning, or more usually he had to be woken up to ear or simply just left to sleep in the car when they went though the drive though. They were a junk food family (Well all of them apart from his mother who had some diet thing going on constantly - Deryck suspected the thinner she was the easier it was to protools her voice.) "This place is really nice? Is it ok." He asked her looking at the quite but small cafe. It was one of those undiscovered places that no one really knew existed. He hoped it didn't get popular then he couldn't hang out here. "I wouldn't ever, ever let a girl pay. So you'll just have to deal."[/blockquote][/ul][/size]

For some reason she actually let him take her hand, normally she would never let that happen. But in this case, she was going to be nice and let him. Anyways, he was being nice to her, so she didn’t have any reason to worry. Right? Helena let a small laugh leave her mouth. ”Yes they can, they don’t seem to like it if a guy is even talking to me half the time. Unless my older brother is with me, then it’s allowed because he’s 19 and wouldn’t let anyone say anything besides ‘hi’ to me.” she laughed, ya, her family was a bit totally overprotective.
Of course Helena would choose an Itallian restaurant, she was part Italian, and her father was half Italian. So she grew up with Italian food a lot, and loved it. To her, there was no such thing as too much Italian food. Even after she got sick from eating too much. She noticed that the place he had taken her to was a quaint Italian Café, upon seeing this her smile grew slightly. It looked nice, and had few people in it, which was something Helena liked.
”It’s nice, it’s amazing actually.” she told him, looking around. Helena laughed at what he said next, and gave him a small smirk. ”And if I wasn’t broke we might be in a little disagreement, because I never let anyone pay for me.” [/blockquote]

[/b] Deryck told her happily as he looked around and picked out a table for them "They get all over protective thats what they do, its in the job description right under making your room a mess." Deryck didn't really have a major over protective brother, in fact his brother was quite liberal. He didn't like the stuff that Deryck did but he let him make his own mistakes. Deryck gave the guy behind the counter a wave and a smile. "Hey Derry!"[/i] "Hey." He said purely out of politeness. The teenager behind the counter had been in the same music class as Deryck they had jammed a few times together but that was about it. He held the chare out for Helena and smiled. "There we go madam."[/blockquote][/ul][/size]

Helena walked in as he opened the door for her, managing not to trip. ”I make my room a mess without his help, no, he just loves annoying me, and torturing me. He’s the one who made me get the snake bites.” she told him, pointing to her piercing’s in her lips. ”Last year for my 16th birthday, when he knows that like my dad, I’m terrified of needles. But I got him back, I held his hand so tight that I almost cut off his circulation.” she laughed, remembering that day. Her brother did love torturing her, but she always got him right back.
”Why thank you kind sir.” Helena smiled, taking the seat. The place was nice, and it seemed like Deryck had been here before. Well, he did know where it was, and he also seemed to know the guy behind the counter.
[[ooc: yeah, I know, this one sucks and is kinda short, but I had like no muse left at all.]] [/blockquote]
